Windsurfing: Felixstowe Fludge Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 15-22kts Surf / Sea State: choppy/rough Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: sunny Max Speed: 23.5 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 0.94 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Whats app group suggested action at the Manor end, so joined them 4.30 to
see 1 out and 4 chatting. Al said Fludyers was good so joined him. Al had
6m rigged so went 8.5 as wind measure 15kts. It picked up as Mark joined
me, He decided to wait, but as was planning hard now, so the 7.8 was rolled
up and rigged 7.2 Goya Mk pro / 135 Bolt.
Al said 6m as he changed to 5m but went with 7.2 and was blown away as
couldn't sheet in. Wiped out on gybe and was lucky to waterstart first
time, so decided to hit land wherever down wind and not sheet in.
Landed 50 meters down amongst the open sea swimmer who were well pissed, as
I was out of control. Lucky I didn't hit anyone.
After the walk of shame, Swainey didn't bother, but I hung around hoping
the wind would drop in time - but it didn't. Al had a good sail, so I
should have took his advice. 3 sails pulled out of trailer 1 rigged 1 part
rigged, 2 boards off yet another sh'te sail! Swainey swigging his beer
laughed and went home.
